Abstract
Recent improvements in tomographic imaging techniques and material technology have allowed researchers, for the first time, to examine the flow of multiple fluids at the pore scale at conditions representative of subsurface flow. This has a wide range of applications, and here we focus on a single example concerning the capillary trapping of super-critical carbon dioxide in a wide range of rock types.
