Abstract
The variety of available chemical materials complicates the problem of safeguarding leather treatment from corrosion. The use of highly aggressive means in the process of leather treatment, including increased humidity in the shops during liquid processes, presence in the air of ammonia hydrogen sulphite, and steam from sulphuric acid, all contribute to considerable corrosion destruction of metals and consequent untimely destruction of treatment equipment.
