Under selected irradiation conditions in the laboratory the shape of the artificial glow-curve (in comparison with the archaeological one) can provide information concerning archaeological irradiation conditions, e.g., age and temperature. This principle is studied theoretically and experimentally. The main advantage of this method is that the archaeological dose rate does not have to be known. The results obtained show great promise. The conditions and the limits of the method are discussed. -- AATA
