The hoard was discovered in 1971 in a clay vessel 0.50 meter beneath the surface. The hoard contained armor, tools and ornaments. Fragments of ornamental round plaques were made of white bronze. The hoard belongs to the second phase of the earlier urnfield culture in northern Croatia, i.e., to the H A₁ phase. Especially important are two swords with metal hilts; such hilts are rare in the earlier urnfield culture of this area. An examination of these swords has revealed that one belongs to the Schwaig type of sword and the other combines characteristics of both the Schwaig and Erlach type of sword. -- AATA
