Abstract
This work is the catalogue of the copper coins prevalent in India from the invasion of the Turks, 12th century, up to the British kingship of George V, 1910. It also includes a description of the coins of present Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal and Pakistan, then colonies of the British Empire. The book contains a drawing of each coin accompanied by its description, its transcription and transliteration. A brief outline of Indian history including the chronological order of the dynasties in all parts of India has been given. The Hindustani and Persian alphabets and numerals and a glossary of words provide the relevant background information. Maps of India, and other provinces including the United Provinces, Bengal, and Punjab of British time are also attached. -- AATA
