Perhaps 93 casts of Remington's bronze, The Bronco Buster, were made during the artist's life, along with 144 posthumous casts and thousands of recasts from the original bronzes. Remington made a number of changes in the sculpture during his life, so the bronzes numbered 1 thru 60 contain significant variations. Identifying marks for the genuine bronzes are given.
