Ultrasonic pulse technique was used to determine elastic constants -- such as the bulk modulus, shear modulus, Young modulus, and Poisson's ratio -- of Indian coins from various time periods. These results are discussed in relation to the chemical composition, spectrographical analyses, and microstructure examinations of the metals. -- AATA
