Abstract
ARTWAREtm is an integrated software package developed by Cypher-Tech, Inc. to meet the specific documentation and record keeping needs of working conservators. The program is intended to be customized to some degree for each purchaser to reflect his or her familiar record keeping and report forms. The first version is being written for a private conservation center to run on the IBM PC with 640K working memory (RAM) and a hard disk with 20 megabyte information storage capacity. The evolution of Artwaretm as a response to the needs of conservators is described. The uses and a general description of the features are outlined. As well, the limitations of and future potential of Artware are discussed. -- AATA
