Abstract
Everyday substances such as perspiration, foods, and drinks, when spilled on clothes and immediately blotted or rinsed, often seem to disappear. Mostly due to later oxidation, such stains often reappear. Heat and other drycleaning factors can also cause stains, at first not readily apparent, which mar the garment's appearance, often permanently. -- AATA
