Brief discussion of the problems of conservation in regard to specific pieces of furniture, sculpture, pottery and bronze. How modern technical advances and microscopy aid in authenticating works of art is mentioned. The issue of how far one should take restorations and how much one should attempt to mask repairs is also considered. -- AATA
