Abstract
Two effective, inexpensive means of taking shadow-free photographs are described. One involves remodeling a screw-in 20-watt circular fluorescent light (a replacement fluorescent for standard screw base incandescent lamps), which yields enough light for exposures of about 1/30 sec at f/11 on Tri-X film closeups. The other technique involves a painting light with a 40-watt incandescent lamp for black and white or a photoflood or quartz lamp for color. -- AATA
