Abstract
A large Roman sculpture made of sandstone was found in a Roman village near Frankfurt-am-Main. The sculpture was found in 57 pieces. The fragments were cleaned and consolidated. After that, they were reassembled and fixed by dowels of stainless steel. Finally the missing parts were filled by mortar.
