Abstract
Disinfection of archival documents requires, in addition to treatments, a rigorous hygiene of the premises and installation of apparatus intended to treat the objects. Germs should be identified by sampling infected archival materials. After isolating germs on pure cultures, counter tests will be done by seeding sterile archival material, and then carrying out identical restoration treatments on sterile and infected materials. A detailed description of the procedures which fulfill the indicated objectives is provided. -- AATA
