Abstract
The author gives an account of current conservation practice at the National Museum of Denmark, Copenhagen. Conservation of iron and copper alloy objects is described. Examples given are an exceptional 1681 coffin from Roskilde, a sheet-iron box, and a fire screen from the collection of the Museum.
