Abstract
Recently, the interest for environmental consideration has risen in the field of architecture and indices such as CASBEE and LEED are used for evaluating environmental capability of the building. However these indices are unsuited for buildings without air-conditioning systems such as train station, and a new index is needed for these types of buildings. This study aims to propose the method to characterize thermal environment of stations. Representative values of the station were investigated by comparing the results of previously conducted field surveys in various stations to summarize the thermal environment characteristics.
