Museums need to address the tasks of verification, treatment and restoration of cultural collections, storage in appropriately designed rooms, the systematic preparation and restoration of museum objects in appropriate workshops. Museums must direct attention to systematic improvement of storage facilities in regard to size, conditioning equipment and design, and, through greater specialization find new methods of treatment, restoration and preparation while at the same time improving the base of technical resources so that with the application of international experience, the development of new techniques can be furthered. Concentration on investigative work and restoration, especially for regional museums, will make more collective and rational the work of scientists, restorers and preparators. -- AATA
