Abstract
The author describes the use of recently developed thermal and humidity cells for the measurement of temperature and humidity variations. Originally designed to measure soil temperature gradients at archaeological sites, the cell can provide a single mean value of temperature or humidity over a period of time. Experimental work with the polycarbonate cells (capsules) is described, and results discussed. The cells are being manufactured for planned commercial sale. -- AATA
