Evaluates criteria that have been used to identify owl-deposited bone in Australian cave sites. Demonstrates that two of the three species of owl most likely to roost in Australian caves regurgitate damaged bone. Suggests several predictions relating to bone presentation -- especially undamaged bone. Presently, the results cannot be used to distinguish owl-introduced fauna from that deposited by cave-dwelling predators. -- AATA
