Abstract
A series of six intact, stratified cultural levels was studied during the 1979 and 1980 seasons in three meters of deposits in Grotta Filiestru, a limestone cave in commune Mara, province Sassari, Sardinia. The occurrence of levels extending from the early Neolithic to the Bronze Age is unique on the island, and the series of radiocarbon dates presented forms the basis of a chronology for its early prehistory.
