A progress report is given of some of the more significant radiocarbon dates recently obtained for archaeozoological material in a number of projects. These are concerned with the latest survival of wild mammal species that have become absolutely or locally extinct during the Holocene, and with the dates of introduction of domestic animals. The regions discussed are Britain, the Mediterranean islands, and ancient Egypt.
