Abstract
Recent developments in counter design and operational techniques at Brookhaven have shown measurements down to 10 milligrams of carbon are completely feasible. A system has been commissioned at Harwell, using Brookhaven counters, and is presently being brought into service operation. The set-up, which employs simultaneous operation of 12 counters fitted into a single sodium iodide crystal guard counter, is described.
