Abstract
Results of <sup>14</sup>C dating of archaeological samples from the UK at the Harwell Laboratory are presented and discussed. Difficulties of using <sup>14</sup>C dates in archaeological interpretations are discussed. Data analysis in terms of age range, material type, geographical distribution, and site type is considered.
