Abstract
14 C datings are useful for the past approximately 70. 000 years, making them mainly feasible in quaternary geology. However, the possibility of accumulate dating of relatively young deposits permits construction of models to understand older events. Datings related to pollen-diagrams are discussed, as well as sections lacking pollen, and from materials less suitable for 14 C. Duration of geological processes and cyclic process is also discussed.
