Abstract
The illustrated works to Palazzo d'Avossa, a XVIII century building situated in one of the oldest part of Salerno, chosen by the Superintendent Architect Mario De Cunzo as permanent offices of the Superintendence of Salerno, have been made by the Superintendence of Environmental, Architectural, Artistic and Historical Properties of Salerno. The tamperings to the original building, the consequent lack of stability in the thickness of the walls and the unbalance in conditions of loadings together with the deterioration of the mortar are the prime causes of the structural damage.
