Discusses the geometry of the shadow formation of a radiograph and the essential variables of an exposure -- the source, the specimen, and radiographic screens. Screens which amplify the radiographic image are covered in some detail. Two types are discussed: lead screens and fluorescent intensifying screens. -- AATA
