Coordinating proper joint design, surface preparation, adhesives testing and selection, application equipment, and service conditions for a wide variety of parts and materials in order to avoid specific assembly problems provided the central theme for an adhesives clinic held by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, November 1980.
