An international team of scientists, using nondestructive techniques, hopes to retrieve samples of the atmosphere from inside a 4600-year-old Egyptian chamber. Researchers will analyze the samples to determine how man has altered the earth's atmosphere. Once understood, the conditions which have preserved Egyptian artifacts so well may be simulated in museums to preserve organic materials. -- AATA
