Abstract
Excavations at the Late Bronze Age Cypriote town of Hala Sultan Tekke, flourishing ca 1190-1175 BC have been aided by the use of sophisticated technical equipment. A photon magnetometer, which measures the intensity of the earth's magnetic field, has revealed buildings and street patterns below the ground surface. Sub-surface interface radar (first use in the Mediterranean region), metal detectors, and soil conductivity meters (Geohm) were also used at this site.
