Abstract
The difference between the historically recorded and actual location of shipwreck sites is discussed. The historic references are rarely accurate even in modern times. An example wreck in the Gulf of Mexico off Texas is illustrated with remote sensing imagery from magnotometer, fathometer, and side scan sonar. (See also AATA 18-1018) -- AATA
