A hoard of 'Libyan' coins which was recently made available for study provides new information on the coinage of the Libyan Was of 241-238 BC. This was the war between Carthage and the 'Libyan rebels' which followed the end of the First Punic War. The purpose of this paper is to publish the hoard, together with the analyses of a selection of Libyan and Carthaginian coins, and to review the coinage of the Libyan War in the light of this new evidence.
