Abstract
Reports on a terra sigillata vase found in the area of the Canabae in the Roman camp of Apulum (modern-day Alba-Iulia, Rumania). The restoration technique applied is inspired by the original technology of fabrication of the terra sigillata. After having obtained a complete fragments, a drawing on the scale 1:1 was performed. From this drawing a profile in copper was built and covered with wood; then a clay mould of the vase was made and the decoration completed using gypsum. Finally, chromatic reintegration was carried out and the vase protected with a solution of Nitrolac, diluent and acetone.
