Abstract
An apparatus, consisting of a CO2 extraction system connected to a specially designed glove box, is described for surface pH measurements of museum materials with minimal influence of CO2. It is economical and potentially portable, and when used with a pH meter and surface electrode or microelectrode, it can provide accurate pH measurements without affecting the museum materials. -- AATA
