A strong correlation is found between reversals of the earth's magnetic field and abrupt physical and cultural changes in prehistoric times (125,000 B. P. to 10,000 B.P.). Among the mechanisms connecting the two phenomena are increased cosmic radiation, climatic change,increased ultraviolet radiation and biomagnetic dysfunction. The authors favor the latter two. -- AATA
