Abstract
The application of standard textile conservation techniques are described for the 16th-century tapestries at the Biltmore House in North Carolina. These techniques comply with the philosophy of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, where the tapestries are stabilized and preserved rather than recreated.
