Abstract
Fumigation is the most effective way to protect cultural properties from insects and microorganisms, but there are a few cases in which fumigation is periodically performed as an advanced protection treatment. Several important points to be considered in order to establish a system for protecting cultural properties in museums from insects and microorganisms are discussed.
