Abstract
Eight large wall mirrors at Hampton Court Palace, England, were damaged in a fire in march 1986. The rescue operation is described, together with the procedures used to ensure the safety of the mirrors until a conservation treatment could be determined. Some technical aspects of mirror manufacturing are described. Plan, drawings.
