Abstract
Iron weapons in the Mecklenburg Collection of the Peabody Museum, Harvard Univeristy were sampled and analysed in order to provide information on compostion, working technologies and social evolution in late Prehistoric Europe. All came within the Iron age dating period, and originated in the Slovene area. Results showed that this area lagged behind others in the application of improved technology.
