Wool morphology and properties are summarized, emphasizing processes where chemical modification improves or corrects these properties. Wool's flame resistance and dyeability are improved by chemical treatment. Photo yellowing and photo tendering, insect damage, poor dimensional quality and printability, and electrostatic propensity are correctable through modification of the wool. -- AATA
