Abstract
Soluble chlorides are responsible for bronze disease . Some of these chlorides can be removed through electrolytic baths; however, deeply embedded active chlorides may remain. Samples of corroded bronze were examined after electrolytic treatment with cuprite and basic carbonate. The former gave more satisfactory results. -- ICCROM
