This is an educational module designed to provide the information needed to design joints in wood using mechanical fasteners such as nails, bolts, and screws. It contains a great deal of information about these kinds of fasteners, how they work, and how they are used. There is an emphasis on strength of materials and structural analysis, particularly for analyzing failure of joints. -- AATA
