This article describes the activities of the Hungarian Mining and Metallurgical Society. Hungarian specialists participate in the efforts of the following commissions: Self-hardening mixtures; Standarization of the testing methods for the reception of foundry sands; Control methods of carbonacious additives for foundry molding sands; Environmental protection; Cast iron with flake graphite; and Malleable iron.
