Measurements were carried out by stationary and mobile devices to study exposure to air-borne copper, chrome, arsenic, and dust from treated wood at two joinery factories. High concentrations of dust were recorded, often exceeding threshold limits. Highest exposure was during floor-sweeping (five times the Swedish threshold limit). It is recommended that woodworking should be carried out before impregnation, wherever possible, machinery used for treated wood should have effective exhaust devices, and cleaning of the workshop should be by vacuum and not by sweeping. -- AATA
