Abstract
A seemingly exclusively Peruvian technique for creating patchworklike fabrics with interlocking warps, called scaffolding, is examined through archeological remnants. It is noted that, unlike traditional tabby, scaffolding holds the possibility of frequent color change wherever two sections meet and are interlocked, but is also apparently a slow technique. -- AATA
