Abstract
Stones and marbles used in Venetian monuments, their forms and causes of deterioration have been studied. Two technical cards were employed: the first collects the results of the analyses of samples taken from monuments; the second one, listing the 58 classes of Venetian stones and marbles allows a statistical elaboration of the collected data. Some results of data processing are given.
