Abstract
Work carried out under the supervision of Richard Wolbers is described. The benefits of using the enzyme lipase to remove oil overpaint are listed. This enzyme is unable to catalyze the breakdown of resins and therefore may be safely used near paint films which may contain a high resin content. In limited tests, it also appears to be effective in removing oil-based lining adhesives. -- AATA
