Abstract
Luca della Robbia introduced vitreous glazes to terracotta sculpture; the first dated example of this polychrome terracotta has been the Sacramental Tabernacle (1441-1443). The techniques employed on the sculpture at All Saints', Nynehead, are discussed in order to place those works within the Luca della Robbia oeuvre; The Virgin and Child was most likely crafted by his nephew Andrea.
