The article reports the conclusions drawn from experience with facade conservation in Zmajski, Dragons bridge, <i>kresija</i>, and the Cathedral of Ljubljana, in Yugoslavia. The author proposes the simultaneous use of classical and contemporary technological solutions and stresses the need for laboratory analyses and estimate of the behavior of individual materials.
