In the age of the Vikings, Haithabu was an important port in Northern Europe, between the North sea and the Ostsee. In the past years, archaeological excavations have revealed a large variety of objects (such as lampboats, weapons, jewellery, etc.). These have been tested using non destructive x-ray methods.
