The history of St. Anselm's Chapel, Canterbury Cathedral, and its painted decoration is given. The conservation treatment given to the wall paintings after their discovery in 1888 is described. The technique is explained before outlining recent conservation treatment which included condition monitoring using laser interferometry, consolidation, cleaning, integration of losses.
