Abstract
The method of keeping records used by one private restoration firm is described. Owners, photograph listings, artists, and condition and treatment notes are recorded and cross-indexed. Some of the disappointments in record keeping (expenditure in time and effort, lack of agreed terminology, owner disinterest, etc.) are noted.
